The majority of our time on this blog is spent in the kitchen, tinkering, experimenting, and creating fantastic meals. But every once in awhile we get the itch to explore. If there's anything we love as much as cooking, it's travel. It enlarges the soul. And the belly.
The restaurants we write about here are the ones that blew us away, that gave us a reason to come back raving and often straight into the kitchen. No matter how perfectly one learns to cook, there will always be the chance that a dish will inspire you. It goes way beyond the cynical "Well, I could have made that." People said the same thing about abstract art when Mondrian was painting, but who turned out to be wrong? We eat for inspiration.
